Cathay Pacific: Hong Kong to Tokyo

My second flight on my trip to Tokyo was with Cathay Pacific on the CX526, a 17 year old A330-300.

Being a OneWorld frequent flyer, I had redeemed 30K Avios to book a business class flight to Tokyo Narita. This was my second time flying Cathay and again, the service was good.

Unlike the Virgin angled business class seat, the Cathay seat faces the window – always great when landing in Japan.

The flight left at 8:10 in the morning, so a breakfast was served. I selected a more lunch-like option of chicken with rice and vegetables, as I had a sit down breakfast at 5:30 in the lounge. The food was okay, nothing spectacular.

The four hour flight passed quickly, as I drifted off for a bit after watching a film. Before I realised, we had started the decent toward Narita Airport.

Hello Tokyo, good to be back.

Next stop the Narita Express

  1. This is a cool idea! A nice duo-blog type of situation 🙂
